We are seeking a highly skilled Highways Quality Engineer to join our clients team for a contract role in Cornwall. As a Highways Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of this major highway construction project in the region.

Responsibilities:

·Conduct comprehensive quality inspections and assessments of this highway construction project to ensure adherence to industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
·Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to identify and address quality issues throughout the project lifecycle.
·Implement and enforce quality control procedures, conducting regular audits, and providing recommendations for improvement.
·Monitor the construction process to ensure compliance with design specifications, materials standards, and health and safety regulations.
·Generate detailed reports on quality findings, non-compliance issues, and corrective actions, and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
·Provide technical expertise and support in resolving quality-related challenges during construction activities.

Requirements:

·Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
·Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in the highways or construction industry.
·In-depth knowledge of highway construction processes, materials, and standards.
·Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, codes, and guidelines.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
·Proficient in using quality management tools and software.
