I am working with a busy Local Authority situated in Hertfordshire who are looking to welcome a Planning Conservation Officer to join their Planning Department.
 
The local authority requires a conservation professional with the motivation, initiative and skills to provide specialist advice in our busy planning service.
Pressure for development is extremely high at the moment and they are looking for somebody with good technical judgement in dealing with listed buildings and an open minded approach to development and change that delivers exceptional buildings and places for future generations.
The post will mainly entail advising on planning applications and guiding new developments but there may also be opportunities to contribute to other interesting project work areas which will help us respond to significant development opportunities and pressures.
 
Carrington West are willing to offer a competitive pay rate dependant on your experience.
 
To be successful in this position you MUST HAVE:
·Graduate degree in building conservation or a postgraduate masters degree or diploma and be eligible for the IHBC (Institute of Historic Building Conservation);
