Job description

Drainage/Flood Risk Engineer
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Flood Risk Engineer to come and join our busy client in the East Midlands on a remote working basis.
 
The main duties of the Flood Risk Engineer are:
 
1.Planning applications - working largely independently checking drainage submissions, interpreting flood risk assessments and technical flood modelling reports, and applying local and national planning policy (Local Plan and National Planning Policy Framework)
2.Responding to internal consultations, particularly Section 38 and Section 278 submissions relating to works on the existing highway.
3.Being the point of contact and working in project groups on major Council led or strategic schemes.
4.Ability to support on the roll out of the Drainage and Flood Risk Management capital programmes.
