Role: Environmental Advisor
Location: Derby
Rate: £350 - £400 per day
IR35: Inside
Duration: 6 Months +
 
My client is looking for an Environmental Advisor to join their team based in Derby where you will deliver effective environmental support and advice to the UK&E business.  Ensure the development and coordination of environmental objectives, improvement programmes and common processes across the businesses.
 
Responsibilities include:
·Work with the global EDPM HSE team and businesses to develop and coordinate environment improvement programmes
·Supporting the Environment and Sustainability Manager
·Assist in delivery of HSE objectives and improvements for EDPM
·Attend internal and external working groups as required, to understand and influence improvements within the industry sector.
·Assess changes to industry standards and legal requirements to evaluate their impact upon the UK business.
 
Skills and Experience:
·Technical understanding and knowledge of Environment and Sustainability with relevant qualifications
·Membership of professional body e.g. IEMA, etc.
·Ability to influence management teams and positively challenge others
·Deliver programmes / packages of work to agreed timescales
·Ability to analyse trends, highlight good practice and identify areas for improvement
·Ability to carry out reviews of standards or other requirements and evaluate compliance
·Communicate and present in a concise manner at all levels of the organisation
·Engage with employees at all levels and in all functions / businesses on HSE initiatives, programmes, campaigns etc.
·Ability to develop, produce and deliver training packages
