Energy Engineer / Sustainability Engineer
London
Rate negotiable
Initial 6-month contract
Inside of IR35
 
Energy Engineer required by London Borough Council to provide them with expert and technical advice on the design and management of M&E, environmental, water and energy systems meeting corporate and public requirements.  
 
This role will require you to carry out the following:
 
·Work closely with the Procurement and Legal Teams to ensure efficient and effective management of corporate energy contracts and the resolution of queries and disputes to protect the financial interests of the Council.
· Apply diversified knowledge of all aspects of energy management and environmental principles and practices
·Survey and respond to utilities-related issues across the operational estate
·Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including DECs and EPCs.
·Ensure data collection and data systems are integrated within Regeneration and Asset Management's Asset Management System.
·Improve corporate resilience and efficiency through consolidation of design for controls, heating, lighting, water, and other utility systems. Manage,
· Monitor and report on the performance of contractors
 
 
To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate the below:
 
·Experience of utility procurement and energy contract management.
·Significant experience in interpretation and application of regulations and legislations relating to energy efficiency design, refurbishment and operation of large buildings and energy management.
·Managing a diverse portfolio of demanding projects that deliver results to tight timescales.
·Developing and implementing practical solutions in a complex environment.
·Operational management within a similarly complex and challenging environment, including energy-related projects and programmes of work.
·Using energy management techniques and principles within the operation of energy monitoring and targeting systems.
·Developing and implementing cost-effective energy projects that deliver high-quality results.
·Ownership of building-related projects including managing consultants and contractors.
