Job description
Are you an experienced Building Services Manager looking for your next long term contract?
If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Manager the Facilities Management/Property Services team in a Local Authority in South West London.
What will you do?
Facilities Management and the wider Property service is undergoing transformation, and we are looking to build an FM team that will provide excellence in delivery over the coming year, ahead of services being recommissioned by October 2022.
Responsibilities
·Build effective relationships with the council's TFM provider, Property colleagues and the wider council.
·Audit and review building services delivery, management and costs (planned, remedial and reactive maintenance - engineering services and fabric, minor works) to instigate improvement programmes and backlog works programmes with the TFM provider.
·Line manage the Compliance Lead, to ensure highest levels of statutory compliance are met and maintained.
·With the TFM provider, manage the future works programme.
·Seek opportunities to value-engineer solutions and be vigilant to the council's strategic asset management plan when considering works programmes.
·Work with the Senior FM Operations Manager and the council's consultants to demobilise current building services arrangements and mobilise new contracted services.
·Lead bidders' site visits during tendering stage.
·Input to new services specifications.
What are the benefits?
·Initial 3 months contract to be extended for an additional 9 months.
·£400, via umbrella, inside IR35.
·Hybrid, home, office and site working. 3 days in the office required.
What will you need?
·Educated to degree level and a member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers or equivalent is preferred. Solid, demonstrable industry experience is essential.
·possess a wealth of building services management experience.
·You will need to have extensive, proven experience of working client-side within a local government or similar environment.
