My client is looking for an Interim Assistant Director that can lead the Planning Department, who will sit under the Director of Place.
 
You will need extensive experience at senior level in planning and development management/planning applications.
 
This is a Senior Level role so will need to have political awareness as the role involves a lot of interaction with Councillors and committees.
 
The team is just going through a restructure so they will also need to have experience of change management.
 
There is extensive work to do to bring the staff together still as one culture, with one set of behaviours and values, and ensure that systems are also brought together and are efficient.  This role will suit someone who thrives on the opportunities the situation will bring to put some foundations in place for our service and new structure.
