How do we use AI at Carrington West?

Our AI strategy is all about enhancing the recruitment experience at all stages for our clients and candidates, with careful and considered implementations. It's also important for us that the AI we implement enriches the jobs of our consultants and shared services staff, by automating and streamlining administrative processes.

Our AI Principles

• We utilise a "human in the loop" approach, which ensures every AI process is regularly validated and monitored by a real person to ensure quality, safety and accuracy. We ensure continuous improvement of our AI solutions by reviewing them regularly as part of our wider strategy, and providing the necessary resources and guidelines for our people to do the same.

• We do not use AI for candidate screening or interviewing, as we want to avoid any potential bias it could introduce, and would prefer to invest the necessary funds for such a tool into consultant training, to help them improve their own CV screening skills. Every CV we receive in an application is reviewed by one of recruitment expert consultants who will assess your relevance for jobs across all of our chosen sectors. To prevent bias in any of our recruitment processes, we ensure regular ED&I training for all our consultants to help them embed inclusivity into every aspect of their role.

• ​We keep our clients and candidates informed of the role that AI plays in our services - ensuring that everybody knows when AI is playing a role in the process, and has consented to its involvement. If a person using our services would prefer AI is not involved in the process, we are happy to accommodate this.

AI will not replace our people; it will simply improve the quality of their roles by automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks, allowing our services to be more efficient and improving the overall client and candidate experience.
