Job description

My client a leading Telecoms Network Provider building their own network in the West. They are providing full fibre networks to communities in the West of England and into Wales to improve the UK's infrastructure and broadband speeds. Working hard to bring rural communities, some of the fastest fibre across the UK. Working with new technologies, they offer great opportunities to gain new skills and knowledge and develop your opportunities within the telecoms sector.
 
They are currently looking for a training manager to join the company to work on the technical and non-technical training across the business. Identifying and designing training programmes for all areas of the business. Working closely with department managers to identify training needs and understanding the requirements of the business currently and for the future.
 
The role:
·Identify and bring on skill based training - ensuring staff are qualified and equipped for their job
·Work with area and department managers to identify training requirements, meeting regularly
·Work with managers to sort detailed plans of the training their teams need
·Ensure training courses are provided internally or from external resource
·Build and develop partnerships with external training companies
·Assist with induction training and help implement the delivery
·Develop training courses with detail and plan the competencies needed in specific roles ensuring managers get a check list
·Develop an e-learning platform that can be rolled out across the company
·Work closely with the H&S team to ensure delivery includes the required H&S and risk training
·Continuously look to improve training and reassess the requirements
·Provide support for trainees
·Assist with other Adhoc requirements
 
The requirements:
·Want and drive to constantly improve
·Experience as a training manager
·Understanding of civil utility projects (Desirable)
·Ability to find solutions
·Ability to listen and take on board the needs of the teams
·Excellent presentation skills
·Excellent spoken and written communication skills
·Ability to build relationships with others & identify their needs
·Telecommunication experience (Desirable)
