I am working with a market leading client who are looking to recruit a Trainee Water Surveyor based from Manchester  or the surrounding areas.

In this role you will be working in a site based capacity as part of a 2-3 person team attached to water projects water utility companies such as Yorkshire Water, Anglian Water and United Utilities. As a result some stay away work is required where you will be provided with hotel accommodation and subsistence,

Full training will be provided so no prior experience is required, Please note only candidates who hold a full UK drivers license with less than 5 points can be considered for this role.

Working on site you will be responsible for performing asset identification.  These surveys will determine what type of sewer networks are in place. In order to carry out this survey you will lift drain and man hole covers to visually inspect the sewer where you will be able to categorise it into one of three different types of sewer. Please note all surveys are carried out at street level and you never have to access or enter the sewers.

This role will involve being on your feet moving from site to site and a base level of fitness is requires as you will need to remove man holes and drain cover.

This role would suit anyone with a drivers license that is based near Irlam who is looking to kick start a career in the water sector.  This role would naturally progress into a supervisor role and potentially can transfer into CCTV investigation.
