My client is a large infrastructure and utilities company who service the public and private sector. Working on major projects. They are a leader in the Utilities sector working across The Water, Gas, Power and Telecoms industry and work with some of the largest Utilities providers in the UK.
They are currently looking for a trainee telecoms planer to work with the planning team in the trimble car and in the office. This role suits a school/college leaver. You will be working with other members of the team in vehicle with a mounted 360 camera to trace the route in which the fibre will be installed. You will then use the images produced to compare the route to the plans and ensure there are no issues that could prevent the fibre from being laid in the way it had been planned to. Things such as trees or other utilities that get in the way will mean plans need redesigning.
My client are offering an excellent opportunity for a school leaver who wants to get into a planning and commercial job, you will work closely with the planning team and work for the commercial team along side Quantity Surveyors. There is a great opportunity to train in these skill sets. You will be offered a great permanent employment package but will need good maths and business studies experience/qualifications.
- Site Surveying in vehicle
- Production of low level designs
- Attend sites and check plans
- Assist with the pricing quotations
- Work closely with the planning team
- Ensure work is conducted in a safe manner and to company policy

- 5 GCSE’s A to C
- Maths GCSE
