Are you looking for an opportunity to work as a Track Design Engineer?

Do you want to work for an engineering company that will give you exposure to a range of projects including TRU and HS2?

My client is a fast growing engineering group who's workload is steadily growing. As a result, they are looking for a junior/design engineer to join their track design team.
Designs will include but are not limited to the production and delivery of plain line and switches and crossings design packages.
This role will involve and teach you in-depth understanding of alignment design principles, and produce track design packages from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per year
Location: York, hyper flexible - could be as remote as working entirely from home with 1-2 days visiting the office per month.

Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant subject.
  • Demonstrable experience in the application of track design principles.
  • Track/railway experience.
  • Knowledge of Network Rail standards.

Preferred:

  • Proficient in the use of MicroStation, Bentley Rail Track or MX Rail
  • Proficient in the use of ClearRoute2 gauging software preferred.
  • Friendly and positive attitude, keen to learn.
  • Trustworthy, able to work/follow trainng independently.
