Role: Site Manager
Location: Rotherham
Duration: 6 months +
Rate: £350 - £400 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Start date: ASAP
 
My client is looking for a Site Manager to lead their multidisciplinary operational teams who are working on projects for Yorkshire Water. Reporting to the relevant Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the on-site direct & sub-contract delivery teams through a wide range of AMP7 infrastructure Clean & Waste Water projects.
 
Responsibilities include:
·Provide the Project Managers with progress reports, commercial and assurance performance and arrange a project health check if required
·Manage and maintain project risks and opportunities effectively
·Ensure all pre-construction enabling activities are carried out in accordance with the Gateway programme
·Constructability input at the appropriate gateways
·Liaise with estimator to provide construction methods, resources, outputs and delivery strategy for governance submission
·Ensure that all project programmes are created and align to solutions with the planner and are updated through the project life
·Undertake weekly Plan, Do, Review with site management team
·Ensure all sites maintain our minimum self-assurance standards
·Compliance with company safety management system
·Company and YW quality standards are achieved at all times
·Ensure all schemes undertake a project kick off meeting and develop a project efficiency plan to be owned by the site team
·Resource forecasts are updated and reviewed with Operations Leader for efficient resource allocation and demand
·Ensure solution productivity is achieved or out performed
·All standard products/lean techniques/innovation is used on site and embedded with the site management and teams
·Prior to start on site all project pipe and fittings 'take-offs' are being reviewed and completed project stock is being re-used to avoid waste
 
Skills and experience:
·An industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng. or NVQ equivalent
·Experience and understanding of water and sewage network processes
·Commercial and contractual awareness
·Knowledge of the Highways TMA & Permit notice systems
·Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
