Job description

Are you a Rail Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer with experience across a range of civil engineering disciplines?
 
Are you looking to work for a Tier 1 Contractor on a portfolio of multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure projects?
 
Due to exceptional growth, my client is looking to add a Site/Setting Out Engineer to their team to work on a portfolio of rail civil engineering projects throughout the Western region.
 
Your duties as a Site/Setting Out Engineer will include:
·Setting out, surveying and measuring works on site
·Reviewing and interpreting project drawings and specifications
·Site safety, health environment and quality responsibilities for site activities
·Supervision of labour, subcontractors and plant.
·Keeping records including site diaries
·Taking off and ordering of materials
·Planning of site works on both a daily and weekly basis (risk assessments, work package plans, inspection test plans etc)
·Daily management of sub contractors and engineers
 
Location: Reading
Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 per annum DOE

Requirements:
·Experience of setting out
·Experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects (preferably rail)
·Experience of weekly planning of site works
·PTS (preferred)
·Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred)
·Working towards chartership (preferred)
