Are you an experienced building surveyor with prior experience in fire safety and fire risk assessments?
If so this role in East London could be for you!
ROLE
·         A competent building surveyor or other suitably qualified person to undertake the inspection of residential buildings to prepare suitable and sufficient specifications of works to address fire safety matters arising from fire risk assessments.
·         NB: Inspection of building cladding is not a requirement
·         An experienced individual able to operate independently with limited guidance and instruction.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE:
1.            A good technical knowledge of buildings and fire safety requirements.
2.            Knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
3.            Extensive knowledge of the legal frameworks encompassing Fire Safety.
4. Knowledge of specification writing and tender requirements.
5. Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training in one or more of the following areas:
a)            building technology/construction
b)            Maintenance management
c)            Fire Risk Assessments
d)            Other trade based qualification with demonstrable technical skills and experience
Chartered membership of RICS, MCIOB or RIBA would be a benefit.
Or extensive demonstrable experience at a level commensurate to the post in one of the disciplines as listed.
