We have an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to work within the defence and major projects market in Scotland. The role may be based either in the Warrington office, on site or working from home, but will require someone to be based within a commutable distance of the Warrington office.
 
Eligibility for Security Clearance is required.
This is a great opportunity to work on an exciting range of structural engineering projects predominately within the buildings sector. We are looking for individuals with a natural curiosity for developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for clients and have the ability to develop, motivate and mentor a growing team.
 
Details of the assignment at a glance:
Rate - Depends entirely on experience, but will be market rate for building structures candidates
Location - Commutable from Warrington, with onsite (Glasgow) and remote working as an option
Duration - 12-month contracts (forming part of a 7-year framework)
 
Requirements: 
-Ability to achieve SC clearance.
-Degree-qualified Civil/Structural Engineer (for all roles).
-Chartered (or near) status with ICE/StructE
·Extensive post graduate experience in structural engineering on defence / major projects.
·Detailed working knowledge of design codes and standards relating to structural engineering such as Eurocodes.
·Proven track record in design delivery with specific experience of; steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber designs from concept to detailed delivery, foundation design and structural analysis, construction delivery.
·Detailed working knowledge and experience of 2D & 3D analytical packages such as, but not limited to, Robot, Tekla and Tedds.
·Proven track record in delivering technically excellent design projects on time, to budget and to the required levels of quality.
·Sound commercial understanding of the consultancy business.
