Job description

Our client is a large Infrastructure and Utilities company, working across several projects in the UK. They are the backbone to a lot of the UK's infrastructure projects and bringing Utilities to peoples homes. With experience across the Water, Power, Gas and Telecoms sectors, they are a market leader in providing solutions for large projects essential to the delivery of telecoms to domestic properties and businesses.
 
They are currently working on a Utilities diversion project, moving Telecom, Gas and Water connections to ensure they are not damaged or disrupted by the HS2 project that will be arriving in the area shortly. Due to this, they are working closely with the local water company, gas supplier and several telecoms companies to ensure the smooth change in their networks.
 
As part of this project, they are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the Quantity Surveying projects. Directly reporting to the commercial manager, working on operation schemes in line with NEC3 option A, B & C. You will also be responsible for monitoring the Junior QS's. The project is worth over £500 million and the schemes worth around £20 million per annum.
 
The role is based in either the Aylesbury or Warwick office. They are offering a contract rate of £347.42 per day, based on a 40 hour week. There is flexibility to work from home. Initially this project is for 6 months but could be extended.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·Supervise Junior QS staff
·Review contracts
·Deliver monthly presentations on CVR reports
·Contract administration of multiple projects
·Conduct internal reporting and deliver information to the Commercial Manager
·Adhere to company procedures
·Produce and review subcontract agreements and review subcontract accounts
·Develop and deliver margin improvement plans
 
 
Requirements:
 
·Experience of managing multiple £1m+ projects
·5 years or more experience
·Utilities project experience
·Previous Management Skills and experience
·Ability to work closely with clients
·Knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
·RICS qualified (Desirable)
