Job description

My client is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team based in Kent.
 
Candidates will need to be a technically proficient, degree qualified self starter who's comfortable working in all aspects of Transportation Planning including Junction Assessments, Link Design and use of all the usual modelling software. Other proficiencies will include being able to;
 
·Support senior management in delivering projects and manage individual projects.
·Assist in and lead bids / submissions and work winning activities.
·Support the business development and continued growth of the Transport Planning team.
·Maintain positive relationships with key clients.
·Keep up-to-date with market developments, anticipate market changes, and assess opportunities for the expansion of services.
·Supporting the development of a positive industry profile in this market.
 
Requirements and skills
 
·Experience in transport planning with technical knowledge demonstrated across a range of areas including all relevant software.
·Experience of writing and presenting technical reports and bids.
·Experience in stakeholder and community engagement and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
·Able to manage workload and ability to carry out, delegate and check tasks to strict deadlines and budgets.
·Ability to deliver clearly argued and compelling reports that will add value to clients.
·Good project management skills and ability to successfully deliver projects to budget and time.
·Understanding of project development processes.
 
Desirable but not essential
 
·Chartered or near chartered with relevant professional body.
