Opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Building Services design Engineer to work for a Globally renowned building services consultancy.
 
This role is based in Birmingham and has generous home working options, however you will need to reside in a commutable distance from the Birmingham office. You will be the lead Electrical Engineer for this office and will be tasked with building a team.
 
Working across multiple project sectors including MOD, Education, Commercial, Mission Critical and more
 
There is a critical need to a British National and be eligible for security clearance to be considered for this position. If you already hold SC clearance, this will be highly beneficial.
 
Key requirements
 
·Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering
·Chartered Engineer (or working towards CEng) with CIBSE or IET.
·Proficient in Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
·Experience of managing others and leading project delivery teams.
·Excellent level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, NBS and Microsoft packages.
·Aware of energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonising new and existing buildings.
·Experience in site surveys, inspections and site work monitoring
·Experience of working in a design consultancy and/or some experience of working within a contractor design environment is beneficial.
·Mentoring and training junior Engineers
·Good report writing skills
·Experience of attending meetings with and presenting to clients
