About the company:
My client is a small to medium sized company with a team of 30-35 in their Rail systems team that specialises in the design of rail system/telecoms infrastructure and products, national and international!
This is a friendly company where directors are working alongside the rest of the team, with all staff members available and happy to help with quick turnarounds from problem to solution. With their open-door policy, they appreciate and recognise the hard work of every one of their employees.
This business covers a number of subsystems and projects in the Rail systems market including rail infrastructure and rolling stock.

My client is looking for a QSE manager to carry out risk assessments,ensure action points are followed through, undertake audits and support and educate health and safety across the project staff.

Salary: up to £45,000.
Location: Ashby De La Zouch, full-time office working, hybrid post probation.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible working hours available.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out QSE audits and risk assessments.
  • Support accident investigations, monitor completion of prevention measures.
  • Collate thorough and detailed information.
  • Ensure new legislation is implemented.
  • Define and implement safety measures for emergencies such as fire drills, access control, and coordination of suppliers.
  • Keep up to date with all current H&S legislation.
  • Mentor and teach site management teams in the correct site set up, preparing and presenting H&S documents and information such as RAMS, toolbox talks.

Requirements:

  • Rail experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a QSE capacity including auditing, accident investigation, etc.
  • Fully UK Driving license.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • NEBOSH qualification or woking towards.
  • Degree or equivalent in H&S.
  • Capable of data analysis (excel).
