Are you a Public Health Design Engineer based in the Midlands looking to join an established consultancy working with high profile clients?
 
This role will suit you.
 
My client is a well renowned Building Services Consultancy seeking Senior Public Health Engineer with a minimum of six years' experience to join their rapidly growing team in Birmingham on a permanent basis.
 
They operate across multiple sectors, predominantly commercial and residential, as well as hotel, mixed use, retail and healthcare. 
 
Working for a large portfolio of high profile clients, they have been operating in M&E for over 100 years and continue to grow at a rapid pace due to their continued repeat business.
 
As a Lead Public Health Engineer you will have the following key responsibilities:
 
·Designing public health systems, preparing drawings, specifications and product schedules for projects from inception to completion (including hot and cold-water systems, above/below ground drainage, rainwater harvesting/drainage, grey water recycling systems, fire protection, etc).
·Checking tender submissions, drawings and technical submittals to ensure quality of products and equipment are in accordance with design.
·Undertaking site visits and monitoring progress against the design with minimal supervision.
·Building relationships and contacts with potential sources of new work, maintaining existing relationships.
 
Technical Knowledge And Skills:
 
·Ideally educated to degree level
·Attained or working towards Chartered status/membership of CIBSE/SOPHE.
·An understanding of BSRIA BG6 2018 and RIBA stages, Part L, the CDM Regulations and BREEAM and renewable technologies.
·Fully conversant with the CIBSE Guides and all latest/relevant Public Health technical guidance, recommendations and standards.
·A reasonable understanding of other MEP engineering disciplines, other than your own, sufficient to understand their impact in the overall design, and converse at a reasonable level.
·Preferably conversant with and able to use AutoCAD and an understanding of Revit.
·A high level of attention to detail and a good level of oral and written communication.
