Job description

My client a leading Telecoms Network Provider building their own network in the West. They are providing full fibre networks to communities in the West of England and into Wales to improve the UK's infrastructure and broadband speeds. Working hard to bring rural communities, some of the fastest fibre across the UK. Working with new technologies, they offer great opportunities to gain new skills and knowledge and develop your opportunities within the telecoms sector.
 
They are currently looking for a Project Manager as part of their large growth plans. Working in a timely manner and to budget the new project manager will be looking after a wide range of activities, ensuring the new project runs smoothly. Working closely with the founding members of the company, you will engage with the civils and fibre teams, stakeholders, local authorities and the company directors to develop the project management capabilities and ensure the success of the project. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Manager looking to work for a local, friendly telecoms company and have previous knowledge of FTTP builds.
 
You will be offered a great rate, opportunity to extend your 6 month contract or go permanent, a company vehicle, mobile and other future benefits. You will need your own PC / Laptop for home working.
 
Skills and knowledge required:
 
·Previous PM experience
·Excellent written and communication skills
·ABility to multi-task and run several areas of a project
·Good educational background
·Telecoms experience
·Ideally FTTP knowledge
·Good IT skills including MS Office
·PMP or Prince 2 (Desirable)
 
Main responsibilities:
 
·Successfully run the project using good communication
·Ensure all projects are within budget and completed to a timely manner
·Coordinate and develop the team and 3rd party support
·Ensure resource is obtained and allocated correctly
·Track Progress and report on progress
·Measure project performance
·Manage changes in costs, schedule and project plans
·Report to senior management and identify issues if they arise
·Manage the relationships with customers, clients, local authorities and stakeholders
·Establish, organise and develop 3rd party relationships
·Manage the projects team and delegate management responsibility where fit
·Assist with bid writing
