Project Accountant

As their Project Accountant you will be part of a busy finance team which incorporates business controlling, accounting and project controlling. You will work dynamically with the finance team and key units across the business. The company operates a flexible working policy, and with this you will be part of an exciting team of experts, who respect each other and work towards a common goal
 
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
·Complex project set up governance including international, strategic and framework agreements, from bid stage through to project execution and completion
·Drive effective project maintenance for your team, leading by example, to deliver all core project co-ordinator tasks. Ensuring project compliance and governance to wider project excellence and commercial policies
·Lead Continuous improvement initiatives (and automation)
·Support strategic projects
·Onboarding and on-going coaching of your teams
·Focus on cashflow optimisation and working capital management
·Prepare, schedule and lead monthly reviews with the Business Controllers and other senior business stakeholders as requested
·Risk / opportunity management of your team's portfolio, explanations / commentary on deviations
·Drive financial and commercial focus with Project Managers and Project Owners through Project reviews, Commercial reviews
·Development of basic project controlling tasks including Net Project Revenue forecast and budget variance analysis and insight into the income statement

·People management and development: You'll have proven experience successfully onboarding new starters and supporting individual's personal development
·Experience: Project accounting experience is essential, preferably within the construction industry
·Excel skills: Intermediate, with experience using VLOOKUPS and PIVOTS
·Travel: Outside the current pandemic, some element of travel will be required in order to provide visibility within the business and hands-on support to regional offices
