Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Southeast in their search for a very experienced Town Planner to assist the Planning Policy Department.
 
Person spec:
·Experience in planning policy in local authority
·Experience of site assessment as part of Land Availability Assessment (LAA)
·Knowledge of the new plan-making system and draft National Planning Policy Framework  
·Experience in writing briefs and undertaking procurement within local authority setting
·Preferrable - knowledge of Sustainability Appraisal/ Strategic Environmental Assessment for Local Plans
·Experience of working on evidence and baseline requirements supporting local plan preparation
·Skills - ability to work independently with minimal supervision, good IT skills and understanding of GIS, good attention to detail and time management.
 
Working Arrangements
The team typically attends the office weekly, but if you are interested, and require less office presence please reach out.
