My Local Authority client based in London is looking to secure an experienced Town Planning Policy Specialist to join their Planning Policy Team for an initial 6 month period.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very busy local authority planning department.
Main Duties
·Support the effective renewal and regeneration of Harrow Council
·Planning policy and research tasks that enable the successful delivery of the Local Plan and associated Area Action Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents
·Ensure timely and meaningful engagement of other Council Divisions, elected members, statutory and non-statutory bodies, developers and public stakeholders in the above processes
·Management of discrete research and policy development / drafting and projects, including management of consultants
·Cross-Council working to deliver corporate objectives, including infrastructure funding and delivery
·The provision of specialist planning policy advice
·Deputise for the Planning Policy Manager
·Line management of one or more Planners or Senior Planners
Requirements:
Planning qualifications and planning policy experience required, preferably in a London context
Hybrid working is available for this role however the council do require you to be in the office at least one day per week.
The council has good transport links.
