My client are a large Power Infrastructure company, looking to increase their workforce within the Independent Connection arm to their business. They are a large UK Network provider and renewable energy company. They deliver energy to consumers across several regions and are working to increase the UK's green energy usage.

They have excellent employee engagement and opportunities for flexible working. This is a long term contract opportunity to work for 9 months as a contractor. Working on ICP's you will b a part of  growing side to the business.
 
They are currently looking for a Programme Manager to work in the Independent Connections department, a team targeting and winning new work nationwide. This is a client facing role, where you will need to offer excellent levels of service to new and existing clients. Ensuring contracts are delivered on time, are cost effective and ensure quality work. In anticipation this will develop further working relations with the client.
 
The programme manager for ICP will be accountable for the successful completion of ICP projects, and work closely with the delivery project managers for each region.  You will oversea ICP activities from a back office prospective, including; finance, design and client delivery. You will be responsible for over 200 projects per year, with a value of over £10million and a forecast of £100 million. You will have 1 direct report and liaise with several other department heads.

Responsibilities:
 
·General H&S Statement & H&S performance monitoring, ensuring an effective compliance system is established
·Work with ICP business unit teams and the wider business to deliver connection solutions for clients
·Liaise with the wider business to motivate multi-disciplinary project teams (including resources from Commercial, Design / Engineering, Planning, Test & Commissioning , Quality, SHE and Supply Chain)
·Oversea the coordination of site construction and installation works across all areas
·Develop a detailed understanding of the ICP processes and the commercial, contractual and Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) requirements and implications
·Deliver meetings internally and for clients
·Manage the financial and commercial aspects of ICP Projects including reporting the current and forecast financial status, risks and opportunity, and project cash flow.
·Involvement in the end to end process including bidding and design activities, business development, liaising with the senior management team to report progress and identify improvement actions.
·Support the development of the ICP future work pipeline to increase regional turnover and to develop and grow the ICP activity nationwide
·Review of designs and associated approval of documentation as required, to meet the needs of the DNO or IDNO to adopt the network once built, client site works, including reviewing and approving third party subcontractors' documentation where required.
·To liaise with the project Commercial Manager on budgets and to provide forecast cost to complete information to the UKPN Services' Commercial Finance Manager and senior management team including estimates and associated justification to changes in expenditure.
 
Skills and experience requires:
 
·Experience in delivering programmes across several worksites, in areas such as grid connections, EV and asset replacement
·Good H&S experience with NEBOSH or IOSH being desirable
·A background of Network Connections in areas such as LV, HV & EHV
·Project management experience working in a multidisciplinary construction environment
·Good decision making skills and ability to influence decisions
·Good communication skills
·Ability to travel to sites
·Experience in leading several projects involving people from a variety of departments
·Understanding of Competition law and compliance when working in a regulated / unregulated environment
