Are you a Head/Lead/Senior Operational Standards Manager with extensive experience working on/creating strategic plans on rail infrastructure?
 
Have you previously operated client-side on rail infrastructure as an Operational Standards Manager?
 
Contract Length: 6 months (Ends 15/11/2022) - Possible extensions
 
Contract Pay Rate: £750-800/day Inside IR35 - Paid Umbrella
 
Location: Birmingham / London - Hybrid Working Available
 
Role Details:
My client is looking for an experience Head of/Lead/Senior Operational Standards Manager to manufacture strategic plans within railway operations / systems.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to work client side on HS2 helping to create the operational standards for day one, looking at safety manager requirements of Level 1-3 documents.  
 
A key part of this role will be writing the evacuation strategy, turning it into an operational plan and linking technical design to operational needs.
 
This role will suit a professional head of operations/ lead/ senior candidate who is used to writing technical standards from a rail client organisation: TFL, NR, RFL, HS1 etc.
 
This role included how clients utilise system railway operations including contingency planning, weather management plans, and operational rule book.
 
In addition to this, you will work on operational scenario work frames, contingency planning, operational rulebook development, and the setting up of operational standards, with respect to safety management systems and document hierarchy.
 
Ideally my client is preferring the candidate to operate out of London on a flexible working basis but is open to Birmingham-based candidates too. The role can be based predominately home based but the candidates must be prepared to be in office when needed.
 
Essential:
·Prior experience operating as a Head/Lead/Senior Operational Standards Manager within the railway sector operating client-side, i.e., HS2, TFL, RFL, etc.
·Experience in building Operational Standards strategies and frameworks.
·Experience in developing and delivering Safety Management requirements for Operational standards and documentation.
·Experience in planning and delivering Operational Standard specific projects.
