A small multi-disciplined Design, Survey and Project Management Consultancy that works on a range of infrastructure projects, primarily rail, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist on Rail Station projects, among others.

As a pivotal member of a multidisciplinary team, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse array of projects spanning various sectors.

This position embraces hybrid work options, fostering a healthy equilibrium between professional and personal life.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, with specialization in Mechanical Engineering.
• HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Progress toward Engineering Council Registration.
• Profound understanding of engineering principles and design processes in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with prevailing regulations and standards such as Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Experience in designing for achieving BREEAM ratings.
• Rail experience beneficial, interest in working on rail projects essential.
• Enthusiastic about continuous learning and professional growth.

Software Proficiency:

• AutoCAD essential.
• IES Virtual Environment (or equivalent)
• MEP Worx (desirable)
• NBS Chorus

My client is eager to take someone on and can interview immediately. This will be a one to two stage interview process, ideally with a face-to-face meeting. This can be held at their office or met in the middle in a mutually convenient location.
