This is a great opportunity to work client side on HS2 and have a real influence on their IT vision/roadmap.
 
Location:  Birmingham, Snow Hill - currently working from home but long term will be hybrid model
 
Day rate: £650-700 per day umbrella
 
Contract: Initial 6 months with likely extensions
 
This is a leadership role rather then a technical role so they are looking for someone who has experience setting and developing visions and roadmaps and work with suppliers to deliver the set road map.
 
The right candidate must have experience in a management/ leadership role prior.
 
This type of role would suit a: Platform Manager, Infrastructure Manager, Technical Architect, Technology Manager or Product Manager, EUC Manager.
 
 
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Lead Platform Manager focusing on Azure Infrastructure to join the Platforms and Operations Teams.   
 
This is senior manager grade, you will be an Azure SME and as part of the role you will set and deliver the Azure strategy leading 3rd party suppliers across design, build, and operations
You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external teams to drive the continual development, ongoing demand, and optimisation of the Azure platform.

·Develops and manages Azure strategy, roadmaps, and backlog
·Provides Azure subject matter expertise for operational issues (Incident, Problem and Change)

·Shares ideas, insight, and strategic, technical input with internal and external stakeholders
·Acts a mentor to educate colleagues on technical and non-technical concepts.
Certification and Experience
·Technical Certification in Azure cloud technology
·3+ years' of enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, and technology management
·4+ years' experience with core cloud infrastructure solutions and networking (i.e. Windows, IaaS, Terraform, Azure Well Architected Framework, Infra as a code technologies)
·Software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains
