Role: Junior Quantity Surveyor - Water Projects
Level: Junior and above
Location: Burnley + Surrounding areas
Duration: 12 Months+
Pay: Up to £45,000 (Depending on Experience)
 
My client, leading build and design contractor in the water sector are looking for a QS to join their team carrying out principal contractor duties on behalf of United Utilities/Costain AMP 7 projects. They have got the framework for the entire AMP7 cycle bringing us through until 2025.
 
Candidates will need to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week however the client are happy for the rest of the 5 day week to be remote/Hybrid. They have workable offices in Walsall.
 
Candidate's with water sector experience would be a preference, however not necessary. This position would suit someone who is used to planned works and working to forecast dates e.g. a Highways background would be a great crossover if you are after a new opportunity.

Key deliverables:
 
Develop and Maintain sustainable business relationships with client and Subcontractors. Support the Project Commercially to undertake procurement activities Contract/Subcontract administration, including (valuations), final accounts, increase value, reduce cost, change management, Commercial risk, and cash management.
 
Workload targets and deadline for reporting, and maintaining delivery against these. Presentation of Commercial reports in the format to support internally and externally,
 
Assist on providing legal and contractual advice, identification and reduction of commercial risks, supporting commercial resources as appropriate.
