Highway Engineer
 
We are currently recruiting for a Highway Engineer to out a wide range of schemes from carriageway, footway and drainage maintenance schemes to larger public realm re-developments, major junction improvements and other large-scale network improvement schemes currently at various stages of the design and construction processes.

What you will need to succeed  
·Identify, design and deliver schemes and initiatives that contribute to the successful delivery of Highways projects
·Assist the Team Leader in developing and implementing schemes
·Contribute to the corporate formulation and delivery of the Council's policies, objectives and plans and to help support delivery of the Council's vision and values
·Respond to changes in workload and changing priorities by carrying out the role in a flexible manner which may include working extended hours, at the beginning and/or end of the day.  Additionally, on occasions, out of hours working may be required.
·Flexibility to meet the changing demands of the role and ability to deal with those demands.
·Monitor and analyse the workload and priorities, amend timescales and programmes as required and continually review programme of work to ensure deadlines are being met
