Job description

My client is a multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy, headquartered in London with offices in Birmingham, Bristol and Sydney, Australia.
 
As a company they are involved in schemes at all stages of the life cycle including development; planning; detailed design; independent design checking; value engineering; technical advisory; and construction supervision services.
 
They are proud of their global track record, providing technical solutions for many complex infrastructure, energy and industry projects. Their experience includes bridges, ground engineering, highways, ports, industry, energy, rail systems and tunnels. This current position is for a Highway Engineer to join their team based in London.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Undertake assignments in the UK and overseas
Adopt procedures for standardisation of work products, deliverables and excellence in service delivery of the
Company's technical work products
Implement and adhere to Company procedures in the management, delivery and administration of Services
Support and develop client relationships
Maintain strong relationships with other functions and disciplines within the firm
Embrace organisational changes
Have an understanding and awareness of the company values and business plan and your contribution to both
Observe and maintain Company Health and Safety Policy across all activities
Undertake other reasonable duties as requested
 
KEY EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
 
Professionally qualified and near/Chartered Engineer and member of relevant institution
Substantial experience with highways engineering projects at various design stages
Experience should include various scale of infrastructure projects, for a range of UK and international clients in various construction markets
Sound working knowledge of national and international highway related standards (e.g. DMRB and Eurocodes), methodologies and procedures
Experience in the design of highways alignments using MX Road or Open Roads
Practical road drainage design experience
Pavement design knowledge
Experience of using AutoCAD or Microstation would be beneficial
