An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highway Design Engineer to join a busy consultancy in London. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering full time hours with flexible working.
 
This position could fall outside IR35 subject to a completing a status determination statement.
 
Key experience and skills required
 
-Good Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets and relevant Highway standards
-Experience in preparing detailed design for highway infrastructure projects through the Section 278/38 agreement process
-Proficient in the use of Civil 3D
-Knowledge or Section 104/106 water industry agreements
-Ability in micro-drainage software that can be developed
-Good communicator (written and verbal)
-Good team player to contribute to dynamic group
-CEng/IEng or working towards
-Production of designs for highway infrastructure and associated planning schemes to appropriate standards from initial concepts to detailed design
-Production of Highway sketch concepts drawings and general arrangements to relevant standards
-Assistance in preparation of contract documents and specifications
-Undertaking inspections and surveys, preparation of reports and site supervision of projects
-Manage small projects or elements of projects as appropriate.
