Highways Design Engineer
 
Our client is looking for a Highway Design Engineer to join their growing team in Stockport.
 
Our client provides detailed highway design layouts ranging from minor residential estate roads to large highway improvements and new build schemes.
 
The role includes delivering varied and challenging projects for public and private sector clients.
 
Requirements of the role:
·Experience working within highway design
·Experience in drainage design or the use of Civils 3D software is desirable
·To be capable of operating with limited supervision
·A working knowledge of the DMRB and current relevant design standards and codes

·A 'hands on' approach to the design of projects
·Preparing of feasibility studies, designs, scheme drawings and calculations.
·Preparing contract documents and specifications
·The supervision of contractors
