If so, you may be interested in the following exciting permanent opportunity to join the existing Geotechnical team in Bristol. The company are looking for a competent and enthusiastic individual.
 
This is a great career opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their design and consultancy skills and is seeking a mix of site and office work.  You will be involved in a broad variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects, as well as working on larger projects with other disciplines within the company.
 
Duties will be varied an include scoping and tendering for work, carrying out site walkover surveys, supervising intrusive site investigations, data management, writing Phase 1 and II reports, geotechnical design of foundations, retaining walls, temporary works and earthworks, contamination assessments and compiling remediation strategies.   
 
Candidates should have a BSc degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or an equivalent subject and experience as a geotechnical engineer.  You should be newly chartered or working towards chartered status.  My client are keen to support your continuing professional development.
 
Candidates should be able to confidently plan and execute site investigations and have a good knowledge of intrusive investigation techniques and the limitations associated with each site activity.  You will be competent at logging soil and rock to BS5930 and EC7 and have a healthy understanding of CDM health and safety requirements in site investigation.  You should be able to undertake the financial control of projects and day to day client liaison, independently managing projects to ensure delivery on time and to budget.
 
This role requires site visits and design team meetings, therefore a driving license is preferable and willingness to travel is essential.
