Job description

Carrington West are delighted to be working exclusively on a newly created position within a well-established, national Utility Metering company, with their head office in Bedfordshire.
 
Due to steady recent growth and further growth planned, they seek to recruit an influential and motivated Director to lead their Field Services Team to new heights.
 
Purpose of the Role
 
·Develop & manage field activities from the top down in order to maximize service, quality and cost.
·Ultimate responsibility for all operational aspects of the delivery of operational field activities to the client' customers, over the entire service life cycle. This includes day-to-day delivery, health & safety, audits, training, field productivity, quality and accreditation.
·To work closely with the recruitment team and Carrington West to devise resourcing strategies that meet the needs of the client, maximizing flexibility and cost effectiveness.
·Communicate strategy, along with effective change management in the field as the strategy & industry changes.
·To represent all aspects of these services to other business units, whilst maintaining the broader view of the client's wider business goals.
·Proactive identification of any issues that will prevent the delivery of the clients' strategy, playing a leading role in suggesting and delivering rectification activities to mitigate risks.
 
Accountability/Key Responsibilities
 
·Leading a field services team to deliver the client's service portfolio, in order to meet both contractual requirements and customer expectations.
·Working with the area field managers to consistently plan and execute field work, with field work and field staff, closely monitored from a productivity and quality perspective.
·Working within and outside the team to continuously improve the client's processes, procedures and practices to become more effective, efficient, robust, and customer focused.
·Continually looking to improve productivity, efficiency and service quality throughout the operation and so improve the cost of delivery.
·Manage 3rd parties used in the delivery of field services, whether the 3rd party is used for equipment, services or manpower/recruitment.
·Manage stock and equipment in the field.
·Working with the area managers to ensure that work is executed safely, using suitably trained resources, and that work is correctly audited to manage risks.
·Ensure that new service offerings are integrated effectively into the current operational teams with minimal disruption and additional cost.
·Represent the client at external meetings as required.
·Providing input to client's tender responses and contract negotiations.
·Budget management
·Ensure that appropriate accreditations are gained and maintained.

§Good Analytical skills to enable sound conclusions to be drawn from data sets as well as from Project Documentation

§Ability to motivate and influence remote teams
§Strong people management skills - able to coach, develop and discipline.
