Our client are a highly organised, highly reputable contractor in the Telecoms Sector. They have several contracts in the South West and have secured work for several years in the area.
 
Working in a team that has several planned projects, you will be busy cabling in a number of towns in the local area. Working closely with the planning team to understand where your next job will be. You can work either with a company van and tools, or if you wish to earn more there are opportunities to use your own an and equipment.
 
As a Splicer, you will be responsible for the fibre connections on the contracts. You will have several jobs per day and there is a chance to earn well on these projects. Using your splicer, you will be responsible for the connections and testing the connections, then sending the information back to the client.
 
The ideal candidates will be accredited to do PIA work, have their UG and OH qualifications and a good understanding of the Openreach Network would be ideal. All accreditations need to be on the Smart awards card.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·Splice all required cables
·Testing all splices
·Working overhead or below ground
·driving to site
·Communicate with the planning & health and Safety teams

·One of 2 needs to have full UK Driving License
