Estates Surveyor
 
Are you an experienced Estates professional looking for an immediate start in a contract role?

Who will you be joining?
This local authority estates team are looking for a Surveyor with a strong background in Estates and Valuations to join them for a long-term contract due to an increase in focus on the strategic management of their mixed property portfolio. If you are looking for an opportunity to be a part of a team and not just another contractor, you can expect a warm welcome by a varied team of property professionals from day one of this opportunity.
 
What will you do?
You will be trusted to support the estates function of this authority with your own case loads to assist in the delivery of their long term and short-term strategic asset goals as well as supporting other Surveyors with your extensive knowledge. This varied workload will include the following:
·All Landlord and Tennant matters including rent reviews and lease renewals
·Complete development appraisals and negotiate with external parties
·Procurement of professional services internally and externally where required
·Support the admin teams to deliver corporate performance goals
·Evaluate current process and procedures for efficiencies and purpose
·Negotiate the disposal of land and property in line with asset goals
·Negotiate the acquisition of land and property in asset goals
·Prepare and deliver reports to key stakeholders and clients
 
What do you need?
 
To be successful in your application for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following through your application and the single stage interview process:
 
-    Degree level qualification in surveying
-    Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
-    Be a RICS Registered Valuer
-    Have extensive Landlord and Tenant matters experience
-    Valuation experience
-    The ability to negotiate complex estates issues.
-    Experience writing accurate and detailed valuation reports
-    Ideally Local Authority or government experience
