Traffic Engineer
Salary: £35,000- 40,000
As a Traffic Engineer you will focus on the effective design and delivery of a portfolio schemes focusing on local traffic and Minor Works including implementation of traffic regulation orders, reporting into the Design team lead.
What you need for the role of Traffic Engineer-
- Experience with Highway / Traffic Legislation, relevant design procedures and standards and good practice is
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Key Signs and Key Lines
- Good knowledge and experience of the design of highway signage
- Ability to produce 2D engineering designs using Auto cad is essential
- Experience of managing projects cost and programme is desirable
- A current driving license.
- Work closely with junior members of the team, providing encouragement and engineering mentoring to assist with their development.
Day to Day activity as a Traffic Engineer-
- Support with Construction, quality management and Environmental Management systems.
- Identify, prepare, design, plan, programme and order works and services.
- Assist in the management and monitoring of works programmes or services to ensure that schemes are delivered on time and within budget.
- Preparing reports
- Liaising with councils
