Job description

Are you an Electrical Construction CRE looking to work for a large communications company based in North Lincolnshire?
 
My client is a leading communications company who is looking for an Electrical CRE for an immediate start.
 
The role is based primarily in the North West with some occasional travel required.
 
Rate: Up to £350.00 per day dependent on experience. - Contract. Initially 3 months.
 
Job role:
 
·Production and self-checking of E&P installation Test and Commissioning Plans, Construction Plans and Installation Procedures within multidisciplinary rail projects.
·Installation, testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure and equipment in accordance with approved design.
·Manage a team of installers at construction sites to undertake electrical installations in a railway environment.
·Apply BS7671 and other railway standards.
·Electrical site surveys / site visits in a railway environment across the UK.
·Review and Approve Electrical Installation Certificates, Electrical Installation Condition Reports and Electrical Minor Works certification.
·Provide support to other construction teams when required.
·Able to recognise site and installation-based Hazards and understand the procedures which must be adhered to when working on the railway environment.
·Providing detailed information from site installations.
·Undertake construction work to project plans, deadlines and milestones whilst maintaining high standards of work.
 
Competencies / Experience:
 
·Experience of BS7671 requirements for installation and testing.
·Competent in following electrical schematic drawings.
·Competent in the installation, testing and commissioning of AC electrical installations.
·Experience with undertaking electrical surveys.
·Experience and understanding of the UK rail communication and signalling network.
·Understanding of safe isolation practices and the correct procedures for confirming electrical disconnections on the railway.
·Experienced with ISO and Network Rail Standards is desirable.
·NICEIC (or other) Qualified Supervisor.
 
Education / Certs:
 
·CG 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing.
·CG 2382 BS7671 18th edition.
·CG 2357 Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment
·ECS Cardholder.
·Sentinel personal Track Safety PTS Cardholder.
