£500+ p/day or £65+ p/hour (Umbrella)

My client is looking to source an experienced Town Planner who has experience of leading a Development Management Team or Department, within a local authority:
 
Desired:
·Experience of leading and managing planning committee meetings, including the assembly and approval of all officer reports and the provision of advice on planning and enforcement matters to Councillors.
·The ability to effectively manage the performance and outcomes of a team of professional planning officers and technicians through an ongoing programme of planning and related applications and contribute positively to a service wide change programme to ensure robust and resilient processes and systems are embedded in practice.
·The ability to provide written and verbal advice to elected members, parish Councils/residents groups, applicants and interested parties on all matters associated with the planning application process.
 
Interviews are due to be scheduled for the week or two, as the hiring manager is keen to get the interim cover arranged for this post.
