Development Management Town Planning Manager
 
Carrington West's Town Planning Recruitment Team are assisting their local authority client based in the East Midlands in their search for an experienced Manager to oversee the Development Management team in the Planning Department for a 6-month period on an interim basis.
 
You will report to the Head of Planning and you will be responsible for managing the Development Management teams and the Planning Enforcement team.
 
You will work closely with the Head of Service and will ensure the service has a proactive business friendly approach to development and co-ordinate the work of the different teams, providing a single point of contact on all professional planning matters.
 
You will be preparing reports and attending briefing meetings, Committees and Sub-Committees and must have excellent interpersonal skills to represent the Council at all levels and to liaise effectively with other departments across the organisation and externally.
 
You will be an experienced officer knowledgeable in the field of Development Management and be supervising staff in your present role. You will have excellent communication skills, a degree level standard of education in a relevant subject and full membership of the RTPI.
 
 
Carrington West Pay Rate - This will be dependent on experience, however we will be looking to secure between £55-65 per hour
