Contract Works Quality Inspector - Highways
 
Carrington West are currently assisting a busy County Council with their search for a Works Quality Inspector to carry out inspections of works carried out by the client to ensure that the works are carried out to a good quality standard, safely and offer value for money.
 
Your responsibilities:
 
·Monitor and check quality of work on the ground, covering all areas of the contract including highways maintenance, street lighting, grass cutting etc.  This includes inspection of major capital works such as resurfacing as well as minor repairs and maintenance
·Ensure that correct processes and practices are being followed both in technical, and contractual.
·Ensure that where defective work is identified, remedial action is taken in accordance with the contract.
·Highlight where remedial works are necessary to test the robustness of the application (for payment) process.
·Produce a monthly report on the quality of the work inspected together with associated recommendations
·Report and act on other factors that may be affecting works quality
·Make recommendation on how works quality can be improved
 
Previous experience in Highways is essential for this role.
