Are you experienced in Building Compliance and health and safety and looking for your next long term contract?
 
If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Lead to join the Facilities Management/Property Services team in a Local Authority in South West London.  
 
What will you do? 
Facilities Management and the wider Property service is undergoing transformation, and we are looking to build an FM team that will provide excellence in delivery over the coming year, ahead of services being recommissioned by October 2022.
 
Responsibilities 
·Build effective relationships with the council's TFM provider, Property and Health & Safety colleagues, and the wider council.
·Audit and review compliance with statutory workplace regulations and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order across the council's estate.
·Devise and manage improvement programmes for any areas of non-compliance.  These may include premises managed by the TFM provider, and premises outside its scope.
·Assist non-technical staff with interpreting and complying with management actions, eg: as required for fire safety regulations.
·Organise and oversee a programme of fire evacuation drills across council-occupied premises.
·Prepare compliance reports and statistics encompassing all of the council's estate, monthly for the Property team and quarterly for the Health & Safety board.
·Work with the Senior FM Operations Manager and the Building Services Manager to ensure effective handover of compliance records between the outgoing and incoming service providers.
·Assist with bidders' site visits during the tendering stage.
·Input to new services specifications.
 
What are the benefits? 
·A 12  month contract. 
·£350 per day, via umbrella, inside IR35. 
·Hybrid, home, office and site working. 3 days in the office required.
 
What will you need? 
·Educated to degree level and a member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers or equivalent is preferred.
·Extensive experience working within market management with strong commercial skills.
·Display commercial confidence and the financial management skills to bring about demonstrable improvements in efficiency, value for money and income generation.
·Ability to work at pace on an ambitious programme of delivery, prioritising work across a number of portfolio projects.
