Communications & Health and Safety Administrator

Location: Falmer (East Sussex)
Salary: Up to £26k (depending on skillset and experience)
Additional: 25 days holiday, pension scheme and life assurance

Carrington West are pleased working alongside our client, a well-established Utilities main contractor, to assist with an exciting new vacancy that has opened up within their health and safety and communications team.
The role will encompass elements of communication such as updating company website, LinkedIn and newsletters and well as elements of administration for the H&S team.

Role responsibilities:

Communications

• Website: populating the company website with up-to-date information.
• LinkedIn: weekly post of topical subjects including notable jobs, innovation, recruitment etc
• Sharepoint: ensuring company documents such as SHEQ policy, procedures and instruction are available along with other similar document across the business.
• Visiting sites to take photos and develop project profiles.
• Developing and publishing a quarterly newsletter.
• Coordinating company events such as quarterly Stand-Downs etc.

Health & Safety

• Booking training and maintaining training database
• Maintaining accurate records including tracking accidents and incidents
• Toolbox Talks and Safety Alerts
• Maintain accurate records of talks and alerts given
• Monitor driver's hours compliance
• Maintain HGV movements spreadsheet
• Highlight any driver infringements, missing documentation, and checks
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly MI

Required skills:

• Competent I.T. skills (MS Word and Excel)
• Strong administration skills
• Good communicator
• Strong social media understanding
