Carrington West are delighted to be working alongside a national highways contractor in their search for a Buyer to join the business on a long term basis.
 
As the successful Buyer you will play a pivotal role in supporting the site delivery teams and project service levels.
 
You will join the Procurement team on this contract who are responsible for maintaining all operational procurement requirements, including the negotiation, and placing of material orders and improving supplier performance.
 
Role requirements:
 
·Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload to meet project deadlines.
·Good communicator written and verbal
·Computer literate (use of excel and word) and Purchasing systems
·Experience of negotiating with suppliers.
·Some experience of procurement in the construction industry.
·Degree level education or qualified by experience.
·Ideally, membership of professional body (CIPS), or working towards.

Hybrid working is also an option here with 2 days at home offered to carry out the role.
