I'm currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for a consultancy in London.  The role will be a combination of remote working and being field based, with national coverage.  
 
As the Business Development Manager you will be involved in executing a sales plan covering the full range of services my client offers.   You will use 'value centric' sales methodology and techniques to generate profitable revenue from new clients to achieve the business area's new business growth targets.
 
The Role
·To generate leads to create a sales opportunity pipeline capable of delivering annual sales targets
·To personally engage with and nurture contacts in the sales plan's target market sectors to develop and manage the resulting sales opportunities
·To prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and bid documents to prospects
·To follow pricing guidelines and discuss the pricing of each opportunity with the Strategic Director prior to proposing pricing to a prospect
·To prepare customer contracts in conjunction with the Strategic Director
·To maintain a level of knowledge of the political, legislative and technological tends in the industry that conveys your credibility to clients
·Create demand for the wider organisation's current services by raising their profile with customers, to showcase the breadth of services
 
The Ideal Candidate
·5 years experience in a sales role or 2 years experience in a Business Development Manager role.
·Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
·Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
·Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
·The ability to think strategically
·The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
·A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
·Drivers license
