We have a fantastic new permanent opportunity for a Building Control Surveyor in North London.
 
Package
£40-55k annual salary. Package includes Car Allowance/Company Car (£250-350 a month), Private Medical Insurance and Mileage Allowance.
 
 
What will I do?
The Building Control Inspector will be responsible for arranging and undertaking inspections of projects during construction to help ensure compliance the Building Regulations and associated guidance for residential developments typically up to 11 metres high.
 
Responsibilities
·Undertaking inspection of works
·Producing detailed records of all inspections undertaken
·Ensuring that all project records are on the database.
·Ensuring at completion of works that all relevant inspections have been carried out and any defects/non-conformities have been addressed before final certification is issued
·Carrying out duties in accordance with QMS procedures
·Delivery of a consistent service and building effective client relationships
·Provide mentoring and support towards the training and development of our trainee and assistant building control surveyors.
·Undertaking, where required, inspections on behalf of the wider ICW Group and in line with service level agreements.
·Required to participate in regular training and other learning activities, and in supervision, appraisal and development as required by the Company's policies and procedures.
·Required to participate in any relevant current and new legislative and regulatory activities as may occur from time to time.
 
Candidate Profile
·Membership of (RICS, CABE, CIOB) or working towards
·At least 3 years practical experience in the construction industry
·Demonstrable experience in the ability to interpret plan appraisal of residential and mixed- use developments.
·Full UK driving license.
·Proficient in MS Office
·Building control inspection experience
·Knowledge of relevant legislation and environmental issues
 
 
You will not need to bring any clients and will not be targeted on individual revenue.
