Bridge Engineer
 
Key Responsibilities
·Design delivery. Prepare calculations, drawings and other documents
·Work with minimum supervision on bridges of low complexity
·Deliver multiple projects
 
Key Requirements
·Be/willing to be a technically excellent engineer, with established skills and delivery capability
·The ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
 
Key Experience
·Previous bridge design experience in the bridge environment with different bridge typologies
·Bridge inspections and assessment, including cast iron/jack arch, steel and masonry structures
·Bridge strengthening schemes
·Experience and/or understanding of temporary Works within the bridge environment
·Good understanding of Construction Methodologies
·Familiar with NWR and/or HE approval processes
·Relevant UK and international standards including EC, NWR, DMRB   
 
Additional experience
·Experience with composite bridge design and steel bridge design
 
Software Competencies
·Midas preferable
·Other software
 
Qualification
·MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural Engineering or similar
 
Essential Key Behavioural / Attitude / Development aspects
·Willing to work on challenging and technically complex problems
