Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
 
Salary: £30,000-£40,000 + Car Allowance

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the senior members of the quantity surveying team in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with some experience in quantity surveying to gain valuable hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic work environment.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
 
·Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and conditions of contract.
·Supporting senior quantity surveyors in conducting cost analysis and estimating for construction projects.
·Assisting in the procurement process, including obtaining quotes, evaluating subcontractor bids, and preparing subcontract agreements.
·Providing assistance in the evaluation and negotiation of variations, claims, and disputes.
·Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and assist in monitoring project budgets and cash flows.
·Collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and relevant regulations.
·Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
·Undertaking any other duties as assigned by senior quantity surveyors to support project delivery.

Skills Required:
 
·A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
·Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
·Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
·A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
